One of the best Easter egg hunts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the Colleyville Heritage Lions Club "Rabbit Hunt," will be held once again this year at Delaney Vineyards, Grapevine, on Saturday, April 4. An extravagant event for families, the fifth annual hunt will feature a variety of fun, thrilling activities for children to enjoy, along with appearances by Mr. & Mrs. Bunny, Peeps and The Mad Hatter! It's a wonderful time for all and a great way to start your holiday weekend.

Nissan has teamed up with Wounded Warrior Project and Habitat for Humanity to construct a brand-new house within the Dallas community. The automaker, which donated $500,000 to each organization in order to make the project possible, has partnered with Iraq war veteran - and current Army Reserves member - Brenda Lopez to assist with the construction of the home, scheduled to be complete by this summer.

Celebrate the life and work of cartoonist Charles Schulz by visiting the "Peanuts.... Naturally" exhibit running Feb. 4 - Apr. 22 at Tower Gallery, located at 636 S. Main St. in Grapevine, TX. This free family-friendly event takes a close look at Schulzs famed Peanuts comic strips and explores their unique universe. For those who have been longtime fans of the Peanuts Gang, this is the perfect opportunity to view one-of-a-kind Peanuts comic strips in person.

Texas Nissan is celebrating the holidays this year by giving back to the community. From now until Dec. 15, we're encouraging everyone within the Grapevine community to bring canned and non-perishable food items down to the dealership. All donations will then go to the North Texas Food Bank, where they will be used to provide meals for those in need during the winter months.

Following months of planning and a stunning amount of input by fans, Nissan's second crowd-sourced vehicle, Project Titan, was finally ready to set out on an Alaskan adventure this past September. Navigated by two Wounded Warrior Project Alumni, veterans Kevin McMahon and David Guzman, the truck was put through the ringer, tackling the northwest state's rugged trails.

Bring your kids on a Halloween adventure they'll never forget by taking a ride on the Halloween Treat Train at Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Halloween candy will be passed out during both rides, which will commence on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. In addition to getting tasty treats, passengers are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes in order to have a little fun and get into the Halloween spirit.

Texas Nissan would like to thank everyone who came out and participated in our New Owner's Clinic, which was held on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Close to 40 new car owners showed up for event, making it a great turnout, and we could not be happier with its success. It was a fun evening for all and we enjoyed teaching everyone about their newly purchased Nissan car, truck or SUV.

When driving on the highway you never know what you're going to encounter and oftentimes you need to think on your feet to avoid what could be a dangerous scenario. This was the case for one Brazilian motorcyclist, who recently came in contact with a truck during his daily commute across town.

Nissan is coming up on the 30th anniversary of their first-ever pole position in the Bathurst 1000, and to celebrate the historic moment, the brand will be paying homage to the car that made it all possible this year's Australian race: a 1984 Nissan Bluebird. Originally driven by George Fury, the Bluebird broke the Bathurst Top 10 Shootout record, clocking in at 2 minutes and 13.85 seconds.

Texas Nissan would like to sincerely thank each and every person who participated in our Chamber Business Exchange earlier this month, where we invited many business owners to come out to our dealership and share a little bit about what they do. We had an excellent turnout and enjoyed getting to know everyone who attended.
