The Platinum trim gets high-end leather upholstery, wood trim accents, alloy, aluminum wheels, and rain-sensing wipers. The 40th Anniversary Edition features leather-appointed red seats, glossy black wheels, and special badges.

All trims of the Nissan Maxima have the same engine underneath their hood, a V6 with a 3.5L capacity. The Nissan has a maximum power rating of 300 HP at 6,400 RPM. It has an automatic transmission and an impressive fuel economy of up to 30 MPG on the highway. The Nissan Maxima uses front-wheel drive.
