Newsweek readers love casting votes for top automotive brands, and they did so again for the 2026 model year. Nissan captured wins in seven Readers' Choice categories, showing what a brand dedicated to excellence can achieve. Car buyers certainly noticed in 2026.

Nissan Wins in Seven Categories

Winning seven categories in the 2026 Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards is impressive, but taking 100% of nominated categories makes the win even better. With a clean sweep, the team at Nissan has reason to celebrate.

The awards cover primary categories: No. 1 Best Brand Dealership Experience, Best Truck Brand, Best SUV Brand, and Best Car Brand. Specific vehicles also grabbed top spots. The Nissan Rogue took No. 1 Best New SUV, while the Frontier earned No. 1 Best New Truck. The Altima placed No. 2 in the Best New Car class, behind the top-ranked Nissan Sentra.

Tiago Castro, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing & Sales at Nissan and INFINITI, shared that winning all nominated categories shows strong consumer endorsement. Nissan consistently delivers what drivers value in vehicles and service.

Newsweek editors praised Nissan's sweep as a standout moment in this year's Readers' Choice Awards. Readers gave high marks to the 2026 Nissan Sentra for its segment-leading standard features, as well as the upcoming 2027 Nissan Frontier for capability and comfort.

For car buyers wanting domestic assembly, the Frontier is built at Nissan's plant in Canton, Mississippi. The facility recently assembled its 1 millionth Frontier truck, reflecting Nissan's position as America's fastest-growing mainstream brand.
