What's New For the 2019 Nissan Maxima

It wasn't too long ago that the 2019 Nissan Maxima was officially unveiled, and the general public got quite the look. You could tell that Nissan put in a lot of effort into the eighth generation Maxima. But, it's only now that we know all of the new features and improvements that are coming with it.

The overall exterior features the chiseled look found on Nissan siblings, Rogue and Altima. The other exterior change has been the introduction of LED headlights; this also comes with a new LED strip to help drivers see better in bad conditions. In order to accommodate this, the casing has been upgraded and looks a lot more stylish than previous models. In terms of the interior, a host of technology adds new safety features and improved functionality in order to make driving the car a whole lot easier than it was before.

There are some more extras at the back, such as an integrated quad-tip exhaust in order to make it look slightly more modern. The interior is somewhat of a similar story, with new features barely affecting the look of the inside.

However, there have been improvements to many of the safety features, such as rear automatic braking and more. That being said, a new wheel design makes it easier to drive and adds a modern touch to a stylish design.

2019 Nissan Maxima Horsepower

2019 Nissan Maxima Exterior FrontIn terms of the overall power behind the 2019 Nissan Maxima, there hasn't been much of a change in the engine, as it still comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine as standard, putting out 300 horsepower and 261 pound-feet of torque.

While that's better than many of the previous models, compared to last year's model, there's very little difference in power and performance.

2019 Nissan Maxima Safety Features

While there are many new safety features, they have improved on a whole host of amazing safety features that they've had in many prior installments.

Chief among these is the Nissan Safety Shield 360, which is one of six major safety features to come as standard. This offers automatic braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warnings, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alerts and a number of other features that Maximas have become known for.
