The Nissan LEAF has done what no other plug-in has been able to do this year: It received an IHS Automotive Loyalty Award. Due to its loyal fanbase, the LEAF was crowned the best Non-Luxury Traditional Compact Car on the market today. The honor was recently bestowed upon the popular EV at the Detroit Auto Show, where Nissan announced they are working on a 200-mile range version of the LEAF slated to debut sometime in 2016/17.

The plug-in vehicle segment has been primarily dominated by the Nissan LEAF over the past few years. In 2014, the LEAF became the first plug-in to sell over 30,000 units in a single year, establishing itself as a top pick for many EV buyers. With an 84-mile driving range, comfortable interior seating and a whirlwind of excellent amenities, including a seven-speaker BOSE audio system, heated seats and a navigation system, the Nissan LEAF is an efficient, reliable choice for today's drivers. It requires less maintenance than most cars currently on the road and offers outstanding MPGe ratings that rival others in its class.

If you're looking to make the switch from a gas-fueled car to an EV, come test drive the 2015 Nissan LEAF at Texas Nissan to see if it's the right one for you.
