2021 Nissan Sentra

What's New for the 2021 Nissan Sentra?

For the 2021 model year, the Nissan Sentra mostly gets technology upgrades. Some upgrades apply across all three trim levels, including the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other amenities, such as WiFi and Nissan's exclusive connectivity services, are only added to specific trim levels. The new technology amenities complete a nearly brand-new picture for the Nissan Sentra, which received comprehensive updates inside and out in 2020. Now, the Nissan is more tech-savvy than ever, and it is also the safest Sentra yet with the addition of a few more safety aids for the 2021 model year.

What Features Are Available for 2021?

The 2021 Nissan Sentra family contains three equally appealing trim levels. The base model, which is the S, is well-equipped with five seats finished with comfortable cloth upholstery. The S also has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for the first time. Its standard infotainment system has a seven-inch display screen updated to an eight-inch display on the second trim level. Push-button start is included on the S as well, and the driver will get a height-adjustable seat. On the outside, the S has 16-inch steel wheels and an otherwise sharp-looking exterior. The SV trim follows with some additional safety aids, a larger display screen, and an upgrade to simulated leather upholstery for its seats. Dual-zone climate control is also an added convenience, and the stereo has six total speakers rather than four. Exterior upgrades include the addition of rear disc brakes and heated side mirrors. The SV also replaces steel wheels with alloy wheels. A sunroof is available on the SV but standard with the SR, which tops the Nissan Sentra line in 2021. Greater connectivity is a highlight of the SR, which adds WiFi and extra USB charging ports. The SR has a Bose sound system and 18-inch wheels as well.

The Nissan also has an automatic transmission with CVT technology, and front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain across the lineup.

For 2021, the Nissan Sentra comes with some standard safety aids and adds more across the lineup. To start, you'll get forward collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, and lane departure alert. Adaptive cruise control comes with the SV trim, while the top trim has a parking camera.
