2020 Nissan Frontier

What's New For the 2020 Nissan Frontier?

The 2020 Nissan Frontier gets mild aesthetic changes to its interior, which now comes with an updated front center console. The 2020 Frontier also gets keyless entry for convenience. The trim lineup is slightly shorter this year, as the SL has been eliminated. Along with these changes, the Nissan Frontier gets an updated mechanical and powertrain system for 2020.

Now, all trim levels of the Nissan Frontier are powered by the same engine, which is a V6 that generates up to 310 HP. While you had a choice of engines before and several transmissions, including a manual, the 2020 Frontier has more power across the board and a smoother-shifting automatic transmission with nine speeds. Along with the standard features on all trim levels, you will have your choice of additional features available through packages and as add-on options, too.

2020 Frontier Has Varied Trim Levels & Countless Features

The 2020 Nissan Frontier is available in four trim levels. The base trim is called the S. It comes with several standard features to enjoy inside and out. Now, thanks to an update in the previous model year, you get a standard seven-inch infotainment system with smartphone pairing and Bluetooth. This infotainment center also has a voice-activated feature for safety and convenience. The steering wheel also houses the audio and infotainment controls. Some options are available for the sound system, which lets you choose either four or six speakers.

The base trim also gets a rear privacy glass and a backup camera. Parking sensors are an additional safety and convenience feature. On the outside, 15-inch wheels are standard. You can add on more features through a package, including bed rail caps, splash guards, and a spray-in bedliner. The next trim is the SV. This trim gets slightly larger 16-inch wheels. It also gets a sliding window in the rear, larger 16-inch wheels, and an upgraded sound system with satellite radio. Some options are available with this trim, too, including heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, adjustable cargo tie-downs, and up to eight speakers on the longer-length cabs.

An available Midnight Edition package can add 18-inch wheels, body-colored bumpers, and side steps. The Desert Runner comes standard with fog lights and durable off-road tires. It also gets trim-specific styling elements. The Pro-4X has even stronger off-road tires, custom shocks, skid plates, and a locking rear differential. Its infotainment system also includes navigation.
