What's New For The 2019 Nissan NV?

The 2019 Nissan NV is a passenger vehicle that is one of the newest to debut from Nissan and their latest venture in the NV model series. For 2019, the NV Passenger retains its build and function as an SUV van, although it hasn't undergone a redesign of any sort in the last year. It does, however, come with a few new features such as a new 7-inch display screen and voice controls that now come standard in all models.

Which Features are Available for 2019?

The 2019 NV comes with only a few new trims that have their own set of special features and comfort settings. The Nissan NV comes in three specific trim models: the SL, S and SV. The SL model is the base one, although not the most expensive initially and comes with standard features like 17-inch steel wheels with all season tires, one-touch power windows, leather steering wheel, climate control and satellite radio access. The S model adds in some more advanced features and comes with newer ones like a 5-speed automatic transmission, cruise control settings on the steering wheel, front and rear air conditioning, cloth front seats and painted steel wheels. The SV is the most advanced trim for this model and not only comes with some of the previously mentioned features, but also adds in rear floor carpet mats, rear parking sensors, six audio speakers, and an exclusive SV Navigation package.

How does the Nissan NV Engine Balance Power Needs and Fuel Economy?

2019 Nissan NV Exterior FrontThe 2019 Nissan NV has been outfitted with an engine that is sturdy and productive enough to keep up with the model's ever changing design. The standard engine for this model can generate up to a 375 horsepower rating at its absolute highest and 387 feet per pounds of torque, though the more advanced models can gain less. It also runs on regular unleaded fuel and has a rear wheel drive train, in addition to being able to seat up to twelve people. The base model can also handle a maximum payload of just under 2,500 pounds and tow up to 8,700 pounds of weight.

Packed with Safety Features

2019 Nissan NV Exterior RearThe Nissan NV is a safe vehicle and does not take that lightly, coming with a variety of different safety features to ease the minds of all its occupants. There are numerous included features added to this model, starting with some more rear door safety locks and child seating anchors for any passengers in the back. Because the NV is a passenger van, there have been head airbags added to the third and fourth row of the vehicle, in addition to the dual front-side mounted airbags. Stability and traction have all seen improvements over the previous model and include a more refined 4-wheel ABS system and an engine immobilizer to keep the engine stable and from overheating. A remote anti-theft alarm system is in place to give owners a sense of security and the ability to prevent theft or vandalism from the outside. Lastly, there is an emergency braking assist feature that can activate when the main brakes are damaged or faulty and the driver needs to stop the vehicle in a hurry.
