2017 Nissan Juke: What's Changed?

Last year, Nissan brought us the dazzling Juke Black and Yellow Stinger, and this year the automaker is following up with another exclusive limited-production model: the Juke Black Pearl Edition. The new model shows off a Super Black paint job, white headlight housings and mirror caps, black painted wheels, and a sporty black and white interior. Additionally, more features have been made standard on select Juke models. Aside from this, the SUV carries over with few changes. Continue Texas Nissan of Grapevine's 2017 Nissan Juke review below.

Juke Models & Notable Cabin Features

Like the 2016 Juke, this year's lineup is available in Juke S, SV and SL, as well as performance-focused NISMO and NISMO RS models. If you're shopping for a 2017 Nissan Juke in the Dallas area, you really can't go wrong with any model; even the entry-level S comes with premium electronics like Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone and Audio Streaming, Siri Eyes Free, hands-free text messaging, iPod and USB inputs, and a rearview camera.

As far as updates for 2017, the Juke SV adds heated front seats and heated side mirrors to its list of standard amenities, and the brand-new Juke Black Pearl Edition is available in limited quantities.

Juke Engines & Transmissions

Test drive a 2017 Nissan Juke in Grapevine to experience what Edmunds.com calls a lively performance. The SUV comes with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, or 211 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque on NISMO models. A continuously variable automatic is the base transmission, but can you opt for a six-speed manual if you choose the NISMO or NISMO RS. EPA fuel economy ratings vary based on the selected drivetrain, engine and transmission, but to give you an idea of how impressive efficiency is, front-wheel drive models with the CVT get 28 city/32 highway mpg.

Juke Safety Technologies

Dallas-area Nissan Juke owners will also benefit from the SUV's plethora of safety features. Standard equipment includes Vehicle Dynamic Control, a multi-airbag system, tire pressure monitoring, and antilock brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist. In addition, Juke's Zone Body construction helps protect vehicle occupants if a collision occurs thanks to its front and rear crumple zones. An available Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection is also notable, offering enhanced visibility of all sides of the SUV.
