The all-new 2026 Nissan LEAF snagged a spot on Car and Driver's Editors' Choice list.

The all-new 2026 Nissan LEAF has been honored with a spot on the Car and Driver Editors’ Choice list. This year’s model offers an improved driving range and faster charging, along with more standard features than ever. The new crossover design and refined performance of the LEAF make it more appealing to modern drivers.

Performance

Editors at Car and Driver highlighted the new LEAF for its quiet and comfortable ride, ensuring a pleasant driving experience. The low center of gravity and independent multi-link rear suspension contribute to the car's exceptionally nimble and agile handling.

The LEAF delivers up to 214 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque for immediate acceleration. The adjustable regenerative braking system helps maximize your range while on the move. Car and Driver also noted the LEAF's fast-charging capability as a standout feature for the new model year.

Upscale Interior

The Car and Driver team was impressed by the new LEAF’s premium interior design, which offers the quality of a much higher-priced vehicle. Available TailorFit seating surfaces provide a luxurious feel, and the available panoramic roof with dimming technology can be adjusted at the touch of a button. Other available features include a Bose Personal Plus Audio System, a head-up display, and customizable ambient lighting.

Advanced Safety Features

Standard on all 2026 LEAF models is the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, which offers advanced safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Spot Warning. For more relaxed highway driving, the available ProPILOT Assist helps keep you centered in your lane. The available Invisible Hood View also provides better visibility of the road ahead.
