Grapevine, here is one family-friendly outing you won’t want to miss. On Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the 19th annual Butterfly Flutterby gathering will once again return to Grapevine Botanical Gardens, located at 411 Ball Street. Experience the magic of watching the migration of the monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico by way of Grapevine, and take part in the many fun-filled activities that this one-of-a-kind affair has to offer.
Bring your four-legged friends along too, as they are welcome to enjoy all the festivities. To kick things off, there will be a Costume Parade that starts at East Wall and Jenkins Streets and ends at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. Parade registration begins at 8:45 a.m., so arrive early and be sure to dress to impress, as there will be prizes handed out for best costume in a variety of age groups.
Following the parade, various butterfly crafts and butterfly exhibits will be on display for your viewing pleasure. For the little-little ones, there will be interactive games, a scavenger hunt, face painting and various other activities for them to take part in.
A free celebration that offers something for everyone to enjoy, you’re sure to love everything Butterfly Flutterby has to offer. We hope to see you there!
