
Olympic athletes now have a new incentive when it comes to earning a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nissan has announced that it will be handing gold Nissan LEAFS to each of its sponsored Olympians that take home the gold this year!
Receiving a gold medal at the Rio Summer Olympics would be enough for most, but a gilded Nissan LEAF provides extra motivation. During a recent ceremony in London, which included an appearance by Olympic Medalist Sir Chris Hoy, the most successful cyclist of all time, Nissan unveiled the all-gold LEAF to a crowd of excited spectators.
A total of 10 lucky Olympic and Paralympic athletes sponsored by Nissan’s British headquarters will have the chance to nab the gold LEAF if they rise to the top of the podium in their respected sport in Rio.
Unfortunately, you won’t find a gold Nissan LEAF on the market anytime soon, but you can come check out the current 2016 LEAF model, which is on sale now at Texas Nissan.
