The all-new 2016 Nissan Titan XD has been crowned “2016 Pickup Truck of the Year” by automotive media company Autobytel. On sale now at Texas Nissan, the full-size pickup comes equipped with a Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel engine, delivering 310 horsepower, and a six-speed Aisin automatic transmission that backs the XD’s performance offerings.
Available in five trims: S, SV, SL, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD is the first Titan model apart of the 2016 roster to be released on the market this year. Since its release, it has been honored by several different automotive publications for its performance, features and 12,300-pound towing capacity. The Texas Auto Writer Association named the XD “Truck of Texas,” “Off-Road Pickup Truck of Texas” and "Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas,” while AutoGuide.com crowned it “2016 Truck of the Year.”
With its good looks, extensive capabilities and incredible diesel powertrain, it’s easy to see why the Titan XD continues to earn top awards and was named “2016 Truck of the Year” by Autobytel.
“Nissan is once again honored to be singled out by a group of influential journalists for our efforts in offering American truck enthusiasts a fresh alternative to the current selection of established models,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “We thank Autobytel and hope their knowledgeable readers will give the TITAN XD serious consideration when shopping for a new full-size pickup.”
