To show the world just how adventurous their crossover segment could be, Nissan recently decided to develop the world’s very first seven-seater bobsled, which is based off their signature CUV, the X-Trail. A sister vehicle to the Nissan Rogue, the X-Trail is available in a variety of markets outside of the U.S. and was one of the first crossover’s the brand ever built, making it the perfect model for their bobsleigh.
From top to bottom, the seven-seater Nissan bobsled resembles the X-trail crossover. Its front nose features a distinct design that draws inspiration from the CUV’s V-motion grille, while its front headlamps appear similar to the X-Trail’s LED lighting design. It was also designed to allow passengers to have a full 360-degree view of everything surrounding the sled, much like Nissan’s signature Around View Monitor system.
In addition to its fantastic design and styling, the X-Trail bobsleigh can go more than 60 mph when pushed to its limits and pull around 4.5G. If you want to see its capabilities for yourself, take a look at the below video of the sled lapping one of the most famed Olympic tracks in Innsbruck, Austria. We guarantee you’ll be impressed by its stunning performance!
