DiversityInc Magazine has named Nissan to their Top 25 Noteworthy Companies list for the third year in a row. The brand was specifically praised for their employee resource groups, which give employees with shared interests the opportunity to work cross-functionally and promotes inclusion within the workplace.
A total of 25 different employee resource groups work to promote cultural awareness within Nissan and educate people about the value of diversity. These groups make up just a fraction of the company’s diversity efforts, which extend well within the community. Aside from their resource groups, Nissan has developed partnerships with several local and national organizations, including the NAACP, League of United Latin American Citizens, Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics and Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce, to name a few.
In addition to Nissan’s connections with local and national organizations, the company also created the Nissan Foundation, which provides funds for organizations with educational programs that help raise cultural awareness. Due to their efforts, Nissan was even lucky enough to earn the “2016 Corporation of the Year Award” from the Tri-State Minority Supplier Development Council.
As a trusted Nissan dealership in Grapevine, Texas Nissan is proud of the company’s efforts to promote diversity and hopes to see more developments in the future.
