The Nissan LEAF is back with a vengeance this year and it's touting an all-new driving range that drastically sets it apart from the competition. Updated for 2016, the popular electric car now offers best-in-class range and comes equipped with upgraded features that make it one of the most fun-to-drive EVs available today.

There's nothing Nissan LEAF fans want more than extended driving range and that's exactly what Nissan is giving them on the 2016 model. A newly available 30kWh battery, standard on LEAF SV and LEAF SL models, has the ability to produce an EPA-estimated best-in-class 107-mile driving range, which marks a 27-percent increase over the 24kWh battery. All LEAF S models will continue to come standard with the 24kWh battery, which still offers an EPA-estimated 84-mile driving range. Additionally, all models will feature an 80kW synchronous motor with the ability to output 107 horsepower and 187 lb.-ft. of torque to get you where you need to go.

Aside from the 2016 Nissan LEAF's all-new driving range, all S models now come standard with a 5.0-inch color display and NissanConnect with Mobile Apps, while SV and SL models offer a 7.0-inch color display and NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps.
