The Great Explorations Children's Museum of St. Petersburg, Florida, has brought their incredible "Wonderful Wizard of Oz" exhibit to Grapevine and we're encouraging everyone within the community to check out the traveling exhibit before it heads to its next destination. On display at the Tower Gallery until Friday, August 21, this popup book exhibit literally allows museum-goers to step into the pages of L. Frank Baum's famous children's book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." An experience like no other, this is one free activity you'll want to entire family to take part in.
"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" traveling pop-up book exhibit helps children explore art, science and history. It opens up the imagination by allowing kids to step into the pages of the book and relive the magical story. Throughout the exhibit, children are encouraged to participate in hands-on, interactive activities, which include picking the Scarecrow's brain, learning physiology of the heart from the Tinman and following the characters as they make their way down the yellow brick road. There's so much fun to be had and interesting things to learn across the entire exhibit that will truly open up the mind of your child. Come take a walk through the exhibit with your family before it's gone and enjoy the book in a whole new way!
