Dust, dirt and grime collect on your car over time, and eventually, a car wash is inevitable. However, what if there was a way to avoid handing over your hard-earned cash every few weeks to get your car scrubbed clean, making the task a thing of the past? Nissan believes they have the answer. Over the last few months, engineers at Nissan in Europe have been testing new paint technology that can repel a variety of mud and dirt, leaving a car infinitely spotless. Still in its early stages, if the paint makes it to the market, it could change the way we maintain our cars in the future.

Created by UltraTech International Inc., the product, Ultra-Ever Dry, is made up of super-hydrophobic and oleophobic paint, which creates a layer between the car paint and outside elements when used as a coating. It is said to repel an array of components, such as sleet, frost, standing water and mud, and so far, it has done just that while being tested on the European Nissan Note model. Engineers will continue to test the paint technology over time, and if all continues to go well, Nissan has plans to offer the nano-paint as an aftermarket option, ultimately revolutionizing the industry.

At Texas Nissan, we know our customers could benefit from such innovative paint technology and we hope to see it become an available option in the near future. In the meantime, watch the video below to see the self-cleaning paint work its magic on the Nissan Note - we guarantee you'll be impressed with the results!
