You've seen police cruisers on Texas highways, but you've never seen them like this before. The Coppell-Grapevine Police Motorcycle Rodeo, scheduled to be held March 20-22 at Grapevine Mills, is a unique competition where Texas' greatest motorcycle cops get the chance to show off their driving talents by participating in a series of challenges in an effort to receive awards for their skills. The annual event allows local law enforcement to establish greater connections with the community and gives residents the opportunity to see what our finest motorcycle cops have to offer.
Practice sessions for the event will be held on March 20, but the official competition is not scheduled to take place until March 21 & 22. There will be different divisions based on motorcycle type and five different challenges the riders will have to compete in, which include Individual Timed Skills Course, 4 Man Team Course, 2 Man Chase, Eliminator Challenge and Challenge Box. Aside from the main event, there will also be a Custom Bike show open to the public and a silent auction benefiting local charities. For attendees, the Police Motorcycle Rodeo is completely free, but if you want to participate in the Custom Bike show, there is a $5 entry fee.
