We are pleased to announce that the 2014 Nissan Rogue recently earned a "Top Safety Pick Plus" safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, which is the best possible rating a car can receive by the group. To be eligible for the honor, the Rogue had to achieve top ratings in each "Top Safety Pick" category and attain a basic rating for front crash prevention, which it did, making it a shoe-in for the award.

"Nissan has a long-standing commitment to safety and innovation, and this IIHS rating is a very important milestone for the all-new 2014 Rogue," said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing, Parts & Service, U.S.A, Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA). "Rogue is the second best-selling vehicle in Nissan's lineup, and with its standard and available safety features, we're bringing a new level of affordable technologies and innovations to a growing segment looking for fresh ideas."

The 2014 Nissan Rogue comes packed with an abundance of safety components, including an advanced airbag system, LATCH system, tire pressure monitoring system, active trace control, active engine braking and active ride control. The SUV also features an around view monitor, which provides a 360-degree view of objects around the car and moving object detection, which uses visual and audible signals to notify the driver when a moving object is close to the vehicle.
